Our client is experiencing rapid growth and has substantial resources to achieve its ambitious growth plans. The Group is led by a Main Board of Directors, all of whom have a proven track record in delivering success and have a significant number of years’ experience in the industry. This is an exciting time to join the business as it looks to grow its operations in the Home Counties and beyond. An opportunity has arisen to join one of our regions as Financial Controller with the eventual aim of progressing to Finance Director.

Main responsibilities:

·No. 2 Finance role progressing to Finance Director within 2 - 3 years.

·Day-to-day management of a team of 3 with responsibility for their training, coaching & development.

·Ownership of all aspects of financial reporting including delivering month end, review of journals, reconciliations and monthly management accounts with variance analysis.

·Working alongside the Commercial and Sales teams to update the appraisals on a monthly basis, providing sufficient challenge.

·Prepare the monthly profit forecast, highlighting opportunities to increase profitability and ROCE across the business.

·Ownership of the weekly/ monthly cashflow forecast,

·Ownership of the finance section of the monthly board pack.

·Ownership of the annual budget pack.

·Financial modelling to support business decisions.

·Review of the monthly payroll data and liaising with the payroll advisors.

·Develop and maintain necessary controls, policies and procedures to ensure an effective and efficient financial management within the Company.

·Ownership of all statutory deadlines including the annual audit, corporation tax, VAT etc.

·Project work including IT implementation, IFRS transition etc.

·Assist the Finance Director on HR & Governance and IT matters.

·Ad-hoc duties as required.

Key Requirements:

·ACA qualified with a minimum of 3 years PQE.

·Strong budget and forecasting skills.

·Strong academic background.

·Excellent attention to detail.

·Driven, hardworking and ambitious.

·Excellent communication skills.

·Team management experience.

·Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
