​A Nottinghamshire based consultancy require a Senior Engineer / Planner to join a small team specialising in transport and highway solutions, for projects around the country. The Company takes great pride in delivering successful outcomes for its clients, by being adaptable and meticulous in overcoming technical obstacles to achieving planning consent.

Job Purpose:

To work within an established team identifying technical solutions to complex issues and then communicating these effectively to interested parties (internal and external).

Candidate Specification:

• 3 – 6 + years of Engineer / Planning experience.

• Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

• Demonstrate a high level of competency in junction modelling using ARCADY, PICADY, TRANSYT and Linsig

• Experience of preparing complex junction layouts as hand drawn scaled drawings and using AutoCAD.

• Demonstrate an ability to prepare successful Brief and Fee proposals.

• Provide detailed technical assistance in the preparation of Appeal Statements and Inquiry documents.

• Be responsible for preparing detailed technical reports.

• Identification of solutions to capacity / safety issues at established junctions / links.

• HNC / Degree level education.

• Full driving licence. Having a car available for work would be advantageous.
