As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial management of various small and large housing projects. This role is effectively the No 2 in the department and you will take on the responsibility for mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors.

The Head of Commercial will support and develop you in the way Persimmon operate, empowering you to run with projects under close supervision, but always on hand to discuss areas for improvement. They will give you clear objectives. You will need to learn to be adaptable and strong in your management style with a consistent approach with the site teams and subcontractors.

We believe our quality really differentiates us from the competition. In fact, our reputation is built on quality. We build quickly and efficiently and expect a lot from our office and site teams, however in turn we’ll reward you for your commitment and hard work and recognise your contribution to the business.

Person Specification: Primarily a confident and a numerate professional who has worked on new build projects and preferably residential projects with a developer or contractor. Someone who is self motivated, asks questions, wants to learn and has a good work ethic. A degree or HND qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable. Someone who can operate and administer systems would have an advantage and training can be provided on our Coins system. The housing industry certainly has a lot to offer at the moment!
