Working as a Senior Land & Planning Manager you will play a key part in this journey managing schemes from initial identification of land to its acquisition (freeholds, options, hybrids and promotion agreements) and beyond. Establishing effective strategies for land interests to be promoted to ensure deliverable housing land for development. You will be responsible for identifying and managing the Strategic Land assets in the operating areas covered by the regional business units primarily East Anglia, South Midlands and Oxfordshire within the Central and South West Strategic Land team
A primary focus of the role will be on land, with planning management dependant on candidate experience and career aspirations.
Responsibilities:
Local plan promotion work, including managing consultants, engaging with local authorities and other stakeholders
Liaison with landowners over progress on site promotion
The monitoring of competitor activity
Community engagement on site promotions and planning applications
Taking ownership of project viability and delivery
Production of progress reports on key projects
Produce and manage budgets and professional fees
Produce scheme viabilities
Management of fee spend in line with budget forecasts
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role within residential housebuilding
Existing contact agent network and desire to
Strong stakeholder management and experience working up to Board level
Work with the regional team to ensure the most desired and economical decisions are made and implemented
